Bill Quinn of Overheard Productions Is A Muddle-Headed Wombat

This is a four minute video and it’s pretty much what it says on the tin.

At the tender young age of 60.14 years old, I’ve been spending many years now very idly and casually observing what makes me tick. And as I tock and tick, how the swinging of the metronome can in some way help others.

And occasionally, but typically way down the list of priorities, how can it help me.

The one thing I’ve known for decades is that I help myself best when I’m helping others, but as I have found out to my short term cost (for which I typically repent at leisure):

a) not everyone needs help

b) not everyone is strong enough to ask for help

c) not everyone is willing to accept the help they so badly need*

4) you can spend a lot of time helping others for it to either be taken for granted, disdained, or accepted without or without acknowledgement and followed immediately by extra calls for assistance/handouts**.

* Sadly, recently, my adult son.
** Sadly, two years ago, a major Australian festival that took with one hand and immediately rattled the tin under my nose with the other. Left a bitter taste in my mouth, but I don’t think about it often at all.
